Flagship's exclusive Microgard™ carpet protection utilizes a broad-spectrum microbial agent effective against a wide variety of organisms.  Microgard prevents bacteria, fungi, and yeast cell reproduction, yet in lab tests oral toxicity measures below that of salt, aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine.

Microgard contains no arsenic or heavy metal salts, and it's incorporated into the polymer state during manufacture, making a durable part of the carpet, inside and out.  Other carpet companies in the industry offer such protection only for the backing, not the exposed carpet area.
